Be encouraged that Jesus and His Word have not changed regardless of the period of time we are living;
But still, we ought to constantly cling to His Word as He explains in John 15:
<<I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He [a]takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[b] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.>>
Knowing that we are now living in the last days, be encouraged that we still have the Counsel and Presence of the Holy Spirit here on Earth with us, to complete the Work we have come to do, as we look forward to our eternal reward in Heaven for eternity (Matthew 25:23)
In John 16, we come to the knowledge that Jesus has sent His Holy Spirit to help us complete The Work that we have been assigned:
12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He [a]will take of Mine and declare it to you.
As we stand in sanctification and humility, we need to build a close intimacy with The Holy Spirit for Him to counsel us about how to complete our divine assignment:
Some examples:
1-Love and pray for one another (John 13:34 / John 15:12 / James 5:16)
2-Pray at all times without ceasing ( 1 Thessalonians 5:17 / Romans 8:26 / 1 Corinthians 14:2 )
3-Pray for those in authority and for all men (1 Timothy 2)
4-Pray the the Youths who will be leading as we retire and prepare to move in eternity
5- Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. (Matthew 9:38)
6- Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6)
7-Pray for the salvation of the Jews ( Romans 1:16 / Romans 2:9 )
Remembering : The Parable of the Talents
14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’>>
Let us therefore not be a lazy servant for Lord Jesus Christ who has accepted to give His Precious life to Redeem us from eternal Hell, but has also opened the The Way to His Kingdom by His Precious Blood;
for His Return won’t be much delayed by now.
